Anyone out there have problematic skin issues?
Me me me! 🙋
Ever since I went vegan I have greatly improved the overall health of my skin and body as a whole, but it’s just not perfect. I obviously can’t expect to have perfect skin 100% of the time, but by taking the proper measures to care for it, I can sure try to get as close to perfect as I can!
Today I’ll be sharing a before and after set of photos that show you my skin after 30 days of a morning and night skin care routine. I’ll also be giving you a look at the products I used, why I used them, and what they did for me.*
All of the products mentioned are vegan.

So let’s get down to it.
The main problem with my skin is the presence of mild acne / pimples, redness, uneven tone, and occasional dry patches. I wanted to mainly use products that would help the redness, discoloration, and pimples. The dry patches aren’t as serious, and usually go away after moisturizing regularly.
The first product I use in the morning is the Derma E Purifying Daily Detox Scrub – $15.50
This is a gentle exfoliant scrub that can be used every day, and gives an amazing tingly sensation after scrubbing. My face feels super clean after washing it with this stuff.
I use both the moisturizer and serum mixed together in the morning, and use the serum by itself at night before bed. They have a light ‘herbal’ scent that isn’t strong or unpleasant, and they absorb super well into my skin.
At night, it’s time to wash all my makeup off (because I’m working most days) and get ready for bed, so I keep it pretty simple. I cleanse my face and remove makeup at the same time by using Dermalogica PreCleanse – $42.00
Don’t let the price scare you away, it’s definitely worth every penny. I’ve been using precleanse well before I began my 30 day routine, and it has done nothing but wonders for my face.✨
After drying my face off I use the vitamin C serum that was mentioned above and then I finish with my last step. I apply a specially curated skin treatment by the company Curology .
What Curology does is have you fill out a questionnaire to allow them to learn more about your skin and it’s unique needs and then you take photos of your face and upload them so they can be reviewed by a healthcare provider. Once your photos are examined, you are shipped a bottle of medication with ingredients catered to your own skin issues. You can chat with your provider online and give them progress reports, ask questions, and learn more about what you can do to take care of your skin during your treatment.
A free one month trial is about $5-6 for the shipping, and you get a one month sample bottle to use. A one month bottle sent regularly is around $20, and if you want a bigger bottle for a two month duration, it’s more like $30.
I decided to just take part in the free trial and got my bottle for the purpose of using for my 30 day routine. The only time I applied this was at night before bed, and instead of using two pumps (to cover face and neck) I only applied one and a half, just to cover the face area.
That’s pretty much the entire routine broken down from morning to night. Now I’m sure you all are primarily interested in what kind of results I experienced. 30 days actually isn’t typically enough time to see huge results when it comes to skincare, but nevertheless I was impressed with my progress.
The top is before, and the bottom is after. I personally feel like the biggest improvement has been the reduction of redness, evening out my skin tone a little bit, and a lesser amount of breakouts. What do you think? 😀
I am hoping to continue my skin care progress so I can start to see even better results. I’ll need patience. Sometimes it takes months!
See you all in the next post!
