Hello there! 👋
I’ve compiled a small list of the top five kitchen tools / gadgets that I so badly need to have in my kitchen. Or at least, I’m telling myself that I need them. *wink wink*
Because I am constantly working towards living a more minimalistic lifestyle, I genuinely don’t think that I’ll be investing in every single one of these items anytime soon. But if you are interested in adding something on this list to your own kitchen collection, do it! I would love to hear how it works for you and if it has amped up your recipes and food adventures. Links will be provided on where to purchase.*

Time for the list…
Zest is just an awesome sounding word to begin with, don’t you think? The primary use for a zester is to grate very fine shreds off of the peel on citrus fruits. Example: oranges, grapefruit, and lemons. The ‘zest’ from these fruits are fantastic in tons of recipes, from desserts and beyond. Let’s be honest, I just want this so I can use the word zest all the time. 🙃
- Instant Pot
The Instant Pot became something like a kitchen celebrity recently. I saw so many people raving about how amazing it is, and then I got sucked into the craze too. This thing is supposed to be a multi purpose appliance that serves as pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker/porridge maker, steamer, sauté/browning, yogurt maker and warmer. I’ve heard that the possibilities are endless when you have one of these.
Literally one of the coolest gadgets ever. Who doesn’t want to make tons of noodles and ribbons out of ALLLLLLLLL the vegetables?!?! Not only can I see this tool as a way to get super creative in the kitchen, but it also gives you even more of a reason to eat a healthy amount of veggies. Two thumbs up for better habits 👍👍
- Espresso machine
Coffee has always been a love of mine. I don’t think that will ever change. It’s just so comforting to have the ‘morning coffee’ routine that most of us enjoy. To all the coffee haters out there, more for me I guess! I’d love to one day have my own little in-home coffee bar to enjoy whatever coffee drink I’m feeling in the moment. This machine that I linked below looks like a pretty fancy one. Who am I to know though? 😛
- Food processor
Last but certainly not least, I can’t forget to mention how useful a food processor would be. If you have seen some of my recipes on the blog, you may notice several of them needing a blender for some of the ingredients. While using a blender is great for those kinds of recipes, it’s also not so great for every day use, or when you just want to chop something up. If I had a food processor, I’d probably be using it to prep veggies, nuts, grains, etc. to be tossed in the fridge for use later. My blender just needs a break sometimes. 😅
Well that’s all of the kitchen tools I’ve had my eyes on so far. 👀 Let’s hope I don’t become obsessed with more…
See you back here soon!
