Are you ready to get crafty today?
I recently became head-over-heels obsessed with wall hangings and tapestries. I’m going to show you all the steps to make one yourself. They are the perfect addition to any room that needs a touch of bohemian decor, and they truly aren’t as difficult to make as you may think!
Below are photos of every step in order for you to follow along. Before you begin the project you will need a few materials. Did I mention this is an awesome way to use leftover yarn and string?
You will need:
- *A hammer and two small nails
- A piece of string, cord, etc. to hang the tapestry with. Measured to your own desired length.
- A 12in (1 foot) dowel, rod, or piece of wood to use as the frame.
- 6 strands of yarn, cord, rope, or string of choice. Cut each piece into 3 1/2 foot long (42in) strands.
Once you have all of these together, we can start!
*If you don’t want to use a hammer and nails to attach your cord to the frame, you can just tightly tie and knot the cord at the ends instead.
This is what the finished tapestry should look like. 🙂 What do you think?
