Vegan Beauty | Companies + Products

Hello loves!

It’s been a long gap since my last post 😦 I had a cold last week and had no motivation to do anything except get better. I healed up during the weekend and now I’m back! I had started all of the research into this particular post a while back, and I have been eager to share some of these brands with you all. I compiled a list of ten brands that are either 100% vegan or have several vegan product options. As a vegan consumer, I know it is not always easy to find beauty items that you can confidently purchase and use. With this guide I hope you can discover some new additions to your makeup/skin care/hair care. Or, in the very least, make you interested in learning about cruelty free, natural, and ethical beauty.

A few important notes before I begin,

– I have not tested or personally purchased products from every brand listed. Any brands that I have tried myself will be marked with a star ★

– This post is not sponsored. All of the companies mentioned are at my own will.

– All of the brands will have a summary about them from their own “about” page, a snapshot of some products, and my own thoughts and comments below them.

– Always be mindful of ingredients and check to be sure if something is truly vegan, chemical free, or suitable for your skin before purchasing. Research and knowledge are power!

If you have any additional questions or comments, please share in the comments! Enjoy 🙂

“Founded in a Napa, California farmhouse in 2005 and now based in Silicon Valley, 100% PURE® is an organic cosmetics beauty firm focused on providing healthy skin care, color cosmetics plus bath and body products. Completely free of all harmful toxins, 100% PURE® is a healthy and pure line of nourishing personal care items made only with the highest quality ingredients. 100% natural and 100% cruelty-free, all products are completely, 100% free of artificial colors, artificial fragrances, synthetic chemical preservatives and all other toxins. Beauty, as pure as it is powerful. Truly, health food for your skin.”

This company has an impressive collection of products, and a really pretty website. I am very interested in trying some of their eyeshadow palettes, as well as their skin care. They also have a rewards program! Every dollar you spend earns a point, and you can keep adding them up so you can redeem them for product. If you fall in love with the brand, they also offer a pro membership for active makeup artist/esthetician students, or graduates that are working in the field. It seems like they have a lot to offer their customers, and that is awesome!

“Antonym Cosmetics was founded in 2010 by Miami makeup artist Valerie (Val) Giraud who sought to create a line of makeup and makeup brushes that were cruelty free and gentle on the skin. According to Val, natural makeup doesn’t have to mean a natural look. This is why Antonym is both certified natural and organic and highly pigmented.”

This brand appears to have a small lineup of products, but they are designed so beautifully. I absolutely love the use of bamboo in their packaging, and the way their blushes look! Their brushes and sets also look very high end and worth the investment.

“GRESSA was born out of the desire to create something very special and worthy of a woman’s delicate skin. My passion came from a family history of traditional herbalism, my own scientific background and a desire for simple, fine and extraordinary lifestyle rituals to replace the modern habits of over-consumer.
In came the Balancing Cleanser that changed my skin and life as well as beauty rituals of loved ones around me. Beyond that came a roller coaster that brought me to where I am today. The philosophy that is Gressa is becoming a stand-alone. A pioneer. A revolution, really. The Gressa Collection is filled with worldly ritual-inspired apothecary items as well as glamour-ful color skincare cosmetics. (read more)”

The website for this company is gorgeous! Everything they sell looks luxurious and has positive reviews from users. It is definitely a must see if you are interested in higher end beauty. Their foundation is something I would love to try for myself.

“Purity & Luxury Are the Essence of Our Product
Axiology is a cosmetics brand with a bold, brave take on beauty: we believe that kissable lips are sexiest with a nourishing, sustainable lipstick—and that nobody needs to sacrifice their values to get glammed-up.”

VEGAN LIPSTICK! I am sad that I haven’t ordered anything from this brand yet. They offer just lipsticks, but an awesome variety of colors to choose from. If I could try each one I would do so in a heartbeat. My favorite colors are worth, phenomenon, desire, devotion, and enlighten. They are currently offering a free lip balm with any purchase too! You should also check out their Instagram page to see all of the colors being worn. You’ll get addicted fast.

“Fitglow Beauty is all about plant based ingredients with a purpose. Improve and transform skin with evidence based formulas that work with skin cells in a synergistic way to deliver what your skin cells need to thrive. Organic, cruelty free, gluten free… is just a cherry on top of the plant based science goodness in every product. Think of it as the best fitness and nutrition plan delivered directly to your skin.”

A really cool brand with super cute packaging and plenty to choose from! They have a ton of skin care products and a handful of makeup essentials.

“Lily Lolo Mineral Cosmetics is a luxurious 100% all natural makeup made in London that is now available in the US & Canada. Lily Lolo is the original Organic Mineral Makeup from Europe and for good reason, our customers love us and we hope you do too! Every product is free from harsh chemicals, dyes and fillers and even has antibacterial properties to help improve the skin. Our foundations, powders and bronzers give women the flawless, airbrushed complexion they so badly crave. Whilst our vibrant eye shadows have the ultimate staying power and make the most of all your god given assets…”

I love the wide variety this brand boasts, as well as their simple design. Products are clearly listed so you know which ones are vegan/vegetarian friendly. They have a lot to check out, and I would love to try many of their items. Did I mention they have very reasonable pricing?!

This company has affordable products, and free shipping for orders over $35. Their products look natural and a lot are great for those of you that just want every day wear. Some items contain beeswax, so if you aren’t cool with that, make sure to read the ingredients for the product of interest. 🙂

★   PÜR  is sold at my ULTA Beauty store, and I have purchased some of their cosmetics myself. I currently own their new 4-In-1 Skin-Perfecting Foundation, and have tried the HydraGel Lift Eye Primer. They currently have 47 vegan products, an (the photo above says 46, but this morning I discovered the number went up) and I hope they continue to add more! I am still playing around with their products, but so far I really like this brand.

“At Juice Beauty we abide by our Eco-Values for everything we do. Powerful Action Without Potentially Harmful Endocrine Disrupting Ingredients: Juice Beauty formulates without parabens, petroleum, pesticides, propylene or butylene glycols, silicones, talc, carbon black, phthalates, sulfates, PEGs, TEA, DEA, GMO, silicones, artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances. Vegan & No Animal Testing: Juice Beauty never formulates with animal byproducts whether it’s glue from horse hooves, or carmine from crushed beetles. Additionally, Juice Beauty is Leaping Bunny certified and we’ve received the PETA courage in commerce award.”

★   I have received products in my monthly beauty box from this company, and I have tested out more of them in my ULTA Beauty store. Some items are a hit or miss for me, but they still have some good ones. I love their lip crayons, hand and body moisturizer, and cleansing milk.

“Lime Crime’s mission is to revolutionize makeup, from the way you shop for it to the way it makes you feel. As one of the first digitally-native beauty brands, Lime Crime has become a cult favorite and leader in the social + digital space. We set trends that take the internet by storm – while setting new standards for performance and quality. From our trail-blazing beginnings, we have changed the face of beauty with category firsts other brands have raced to imitate. (Who ever dreamed our blue Unicorn lipstick would become a mainstream must-have?) We want you to express yourself unapologetically, so we create kick-ass products you can create looks with as individual as your moods. Whether you’re looking for a new go-to color or a special occasion sparkle, our collections are designed to put the perfect shade – and a smile! – on your face. Lime Crime is certified Vegan & Cruelty-Free by PETA & Leaping Bunny. Always rebelling, never boring, Lime Crime’s here to shake things up. If we aren’t obsessed with it, we just won’t make it!”

★   I discovered Lime Crime several years ago, which I believe to be after or around the time they launched in 2008. I religiously followed the blog of the founder, Doe Deere, and eventually purchased several eyeshadow glitters from them and loved them to pieces. The eye products I purchased have since then been discontinued, but you are missing out if you don’t check out all of the other incredible products they currently have! (Sidenote: This brand did not start out vegan, but have now made the switch and I’m so proud of them!)

I hope you all enjoyed this list and take a look at some of these companies! Let me know if you are interested in seeing more brands and products mentioned in another post.

I’m always looking for feedback and suggestions for future posts, so don’t be shy. 😉 Leave a comment on the blog, my Instagram, or send me a message directly. Let’s all be friends ❤
